This list of Identification Numbers, Material Names, and associated Guide Numbers differ
slightly from the format in the "Yellow Bordered Pages" of the 1996 North American Emergency
Response Guidebook (NAERG96) in that there are no highlighted entries to identify materials
that are Poisonous/Toxic by Inhalation (PIH) or Dangerous Water-Reactive Materials. In the
NAREG96, highlighted entries refer the user to the "Green Bordered Pages" for additional
guidance. On this web page, highlighted entries are being replaced by the following two
images:
If this image appears in association with the Identification Number, click on it to view/print the Table of Initial Isolation and Protective Action Distances for that material.
If this image appears in association with the Identification Number, click on it to view/print the List of Dangerous Water-Reactive Materials.
