- Clothing? Yes assuming you have homeowners or renters insurance
- Under your homeowners or renters insurance you will be covered for clothing or furniture. If you only have auto insurance you will not be adequately covered.
- Boat, ATV, UTV, Snowmobile? No
- You must buy or add coverage to your auto, home or renters insurance to make sure you are covered. This applies whether it is yours or someone else’s property.
- Trailer? No
- No matter if it’s yours or someone else’s it must be added to your auto, home or renters insurance to have physical damage coverage on it.*
* If the trailer doesn’t have a lot of monetary value, you may not elect to insure it. You may still have liability insurance if someone is hurt or if you cause physical damage coverage. For example, if you back it into someone else’s property, you may be covered under your homeowners or renters insurance.
